Vagator Beach

For it's picture like beauty, Vagator Beach is considered one of the best beaches in the world. It is called the “Brand Ambassador” of Goa. Situated at Twenty four kilometers from Panaji, this beach is the gateway if you want to spend your holidays in calm surroundings.

Vagator is undoubtedly a perfect romantic holiday destination. Here the red cliff surrounds the beach and the black lava rocks spreading in the sea and the white soft sand creates an amazing panorama. The lush green of the swaying palm trees and the sparkling aquamarine waves of the sea will give you a romantic feel. The beach is split into two crescent shape beaches by seaside headland, to the north is North Vagator Beach and towards the south is the Mini Vagator beach which is also called Ozrant beach. And in the center there is a tiny beach down the cliff called Middle Vagator beach which is also called the Tel Aviv Beach. Fresh water springs are another attraction of Vagator. You will find one fresh water spring at north end of the North Vagator and another in the Mini Vagator. Give extra effort to locate the second spring.

Take a bath in the spring water after you finish your sun bath or swim. You can have a panoramic view of the both north and mini Vagator from the top of the headland separating the two beaches. If five hundred years old Chapora fort attracts you then go to the north side hill and climb up using the route paved by black lava rocks. You will see the picturesque sea, coconut palm covered hills and the Chapora village of the fishing community. You can rent a cottage in the village and enjoy your stay in Vagator.
